New Delhi World Book Fair

The fair

The New Delhi World Book Fair fills Bharat Mandapam for nine days each January. Entry has been free in recent editions. Alongside the public halls sit CEOSpeak and the New Delhi Rights Table (B2B matchmaking). Indian English-language publishing is a real market for authors — but the public halls are for readers and booksellers; the Rights Table is where professional conversations are meant to happen.

Advice for visiting authors

• Do not confuse the public aisles with a submissions office. Use them to see which Indian imprints are active in your category.
• If you want meetings, look at the New Delhi Rights Table (18–19 January 2027) rather than cold-walking Halls 2–6.
• Indian publishing in English is competitive. Know whether you are talking to a trade house, an academic press or an educational publisher.
