The fair
The Nairobi International Book Fair is the regional gathering for East African publishing — educational, trade and increasingly literary. It is smaller than the mega-fairs, which is precisely why a visiting author can have a real conversation.
Advice for visiting authors
- Educational publishing dominates parts of the floor. Be clear you are looking for trade, not a school list, if that is the case.
- Regional distribution (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania) is a live topic. Ask about it.
