Montreal’s Salon du livre is the showcase for Québec publishing and a bridge to the wider Francophone world. Québec is Guest of Honour at Gothenburg in 2026 — a useful pairing if you are following that market.

Advice for visiting authors

• Québec houses publish in French. An English-language author is talking about translation, not a Toronto-style English deal.
• The English-Canadian trade is more often met at smaller professional events and at the London and Frankfurt fairs.
