The fair
The Belgrade International Book Fair is a major cultural event in Serbia and a hub for the region. It is public, busy and more open than a Western European rights fair. Useful if you have a book with a Balkan, translation or regional-interest angle.
Advice for visiting authors
- English will get you through many stands; a translated one-pager helps.
- This is a readers’ fair first. Be ready to talk to booksellers as well as publishers.
