The fair
ADIBF is organised by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre. It is a public cultural event on a grand scale — hundreds of exhibitors, a dense talks programme — with professional sessions sitting alongside. The 2026 edition ran 13–18 September at ADNEC. Use it to understand the Gulf reading market; use Sharjah if your primary aim is translation rights infrastructure.
Advice for visiting authors
- The floor is a cultural exhibition. Be courteous, brief, and do not block a stand that is serving families.
- Sheikh Zayed Book Award conversations and professional seminars are a better door than a cold pitch.
